Our most popular ClimateMatters.TV show from COP-22, here we discuss the changes in the Arctic with renowned Ocean Physicist Dr. Peter Wadhams of Cambridge. Dr. Wadhams has been journeying under the Arctic ice sheet for 4 decades, studying the loss of volume of is, extent and thickness, in a way that satellite and remote observations cannot do. Dr. Wadhams’ data calls into question many of the models of polar ice upon which existing climate predictions, including the IPCC reports, are made.
Once we lose the Arctic ice sheet the heating of the planet will accelerate, something that should by all rights be keeping world leaders awake at night.
